In the doldrums

 "I dunno, something sounds...weird," Liv said when Nic mentioned his phone call from Tristan.

They were over for a game night at Woo's. Heart joined them too as to round out the numbers.

"You don't think your brother will get married in Florida, do you?" Nic squinted as if Tristan had lost it this time.

"Anything is possible with him," Liv sighed as she hugged herself while Woo was getting the TV all set for the game so they could connect to their phones.

"I'm worried about him," Nic told her he didn't sound like himself. Liv nursed her lip and nodded.

"Well, he has this vicious cycle about him," Liv pushed her lock of auburn hair behind her ear. She knew Nic didn't want to hear this. She went to the kitchen to get more sodas while Felicity talked to Heart and Sunny about their Valentine's Day plans.

"What are you talking about?" Nic followed as if they needed to talk about this alone.

"Well, he's on meds, you know." Liv doubted Nic knew. "And when he thinks  he's better, he thinks he should stop taking them."

"Do you think he did that this time?" Nic mentioned he knew a little about Tristan's troubles in the past, but he thought he'd matured a lot since then.

"I don't really know," Liv was honest. "I know Dale or Delia doesn't deserve to be in his downward spiral of things."

Liv felt sad about it, Even if she was there, she was sure she couldn't stop it.
