Damn him, thought Liv. Why did her brother have to be so happy for her? It did feel that the place was vacant with Sunny gone. Of course, Woo told his niece, she could come home anytime. He made it sound as if it were some kind of trial run, living on her own.
Sure, Liv was happy about Sunny's venture. But she was confused about who Sunny liked. Was it Chewy or Louie? Liv didn't think Sunny cared about the French guy Hart, but she was staying in his room.
Without thinking, Liv did call her mother. The timing felt right and she hoped her mom got the flowers for Mother's Day. Her mom thanked her. And Liv thought the call might be over, but no.
Her mother talked about how school would be out. And prom was here and what would happen with Carmen.
"Carmen?" Liv winced hard. "Why are you worried?"
"Oh, that Rico wants the two of them to move in together." It didn't sound like her mom was fond of the idea.
"Well, I just talked to Tristan. I think he would have room there." Liv told her. Actually, she didn't want Rico to live with Carmen, either. It was just too easy.
She could see it now. Those two would live across from that so-called step-sister of Rico's and her boyfriend. It would be slumming in a studio.
"She needs to be out on her own," Liv said it before she realized maybe that's what she should have done, but that was beside the point. Carmen was just a girl graduating high school.
"Well, you might be right." Her mom said nothing of Liv's situation. Perhaps she'd accepted it by now. "I'll have to talk to Tristan."
"Do it soon," Liv said. "Let Tristan help. She can't be at our house forever."
That was when Liv's mother told her they were in the works of adopting Kenny, Carmen's nephew.
The great life, i would say:-)

Calling Mom is always a nice thing. She had news for Liv - Rico and Carmen probably moving together; and adopting Kenny, Carmen's nephew. Not sure Liv liked the news.
