Some Day it'll happen

Liv knew she'd forgotten something, Jade's wedding. Somehow she missed the call. Now she felt she needed to make up for it, but she wasn't sure how. An Amazon card would do, but then she'd have to call her mother since she wasn't sure if sending one from Korea was doable, or just the idea she needed to call her mom for some reason.

It took her three days to decide this. Of course, there was work, and spending her lengthy nights with Woo generally meant going to bed by nine. Yes, this job was taking a lot out of her and she felt as if she needed to grow up.

Finally, she called her mom. She didn't know how to ask her to get a gift card for Jade, but she finally told her mother that her best friend got married.

"Which one?" Her mother didn't know her best friend anymore.

"Well, you know-" Liv sighed as if her mother made everything hard.

"No, I don't know."

"Jade."

"Jade?"

"Even Tristan knows Jade," Liv wished she hadn't said it because she was certain her mom would want to know from where and she didn't want to go back that far how the two met at a work camp because of almost serving jail time.

"What do you want," her mother began sounding dreadful. "Make it quick."

"What's going on?" Liv winced hard as if nobody told her anything.

"We're moving to the zoo," she told her.

"What?"

"Your dad already lives there," her mother said. "We just thought we'd get this done before school started."

"What about the house?" Suddenly, Liv was furious.

"You're brother and Dale are moving in," her mother said. "Tristan didn't want to tell you. He thought you might be upset."

Liv was livid, but she kept her mouth shut. She wanted to say, "Why does he get everything?" But she knew it didn't matter. It was already done. Liv was in Seoul, and possibly as bitter as she ever was.

Of course, her mother asked about Jade.

"It's OK," Liv could barely say. It would be best if her old friend Bren could handle this. She felt so numb. Tristan would always win. She was just the daughter nobody really cared about.

  4. Unfortunately,
this injustice happens many times in life!
    usually to siblings!!
It is very bad that someone experiences injustice in his own family!! I enjoyed the episode and it gave me food for thought!!
Be well and have a wonderful August Ellie❤️

    1. Thanks so much for your comment. Some ways are hard to break. Here, it is usually a southern thing, but it can happy in families. And yes, there is a little bit of me in Liv.

  7. Oh, I wish so bad for Liz, feeling like she's the daughter nobody cares about. I can see why she feels that Tristan is favoured. It's hard for Liz!
