What the world needs now is love, sweet love

Jade was elated to get the newborn pic from Liv on her phone. She felt as if Liv was glowing as a new mom. Of course, Jade wanted to say, "I'll have what you're having."

Although she needed to get through her sister's pregnancy before she could even think of wanting to be pregnant, however, her sister was due any day. Jade was still in more shock than her sister, Jewel.

"Do you think I'm a bad person?" Liv asked.

"Of course, not," Jade said over a video chat. Jade wanted to tell her it was amazing that Liv was so sane with such a high-strung mother. "Don't even think it."

"She doesn't like his name," Liv sighed. But she smiled when she looked at her sleeping newborn in her arms. "He's so perfect."

"I know." Jade smiled back. She was happy for Liv and her husband, too, that she at least got to see him wave to her in the video.

"It'll all get better, you'll see. Time heals everything."

"Not with my mom. She doesn't let go of anything."

Jade could tell Liv was restless about the matter. "What if..what if I'm just like her?"

"I think you are a lot like your dad," Jade opted to say. "You are going to be fine. Oliver will be fine. It'll be OK."

Liv laughed. She spoke of how her mother did get to see the baby, but it was a short visit. She felt her mother was too loud. It made the baby jump. "I know she means well. But I worry about her, even if I wonder if she ever worried about me. The things I went through with my brother."

Jade knew Liv didn't really want to talk about it.

"He's doing OK, isn't he?"

"Oh, Tristan's fine. Really," Jade told her he'd come to a cookout at Holden and Dora's. "He held a baby." Jade cracked a smile. "I know he's a little lost without Dale, but he'll be OK," Jade said, hoping he called her soon. Wasn't a brother supposed to wish his little sister a lot of happiness for making him a true Uncle?

  2. A great truth, time heals everything.
Liv's mother seems to be a difficult person, or at least with a strong personality.
