68. Being liked by your significant other's family

 Liv was afraid Woo's sister wanted them out of the house. After all, it was her place, but she got out some paperwork to ensure he was now the owner. After all, he'd been keeping up the place and the cost of it. She hadn't really done anything for some time now. 

Still, she was very solemn. Liv wasn't sure how she felt about the baby. Oliver.

"You and Sunny must have a lot of catching up," Liv didn't know much else to say to her.

"Perhaps," she was mute, and now she knew where Sunny got her distant personality from. Although Liv felt Sunny had softened a lot since being with Louie.

"Tell me, do you think she should have moved out?" Yooni asked ever so seriously.

"Oh." Liv felt as if Sunny's mother thought it was all Liv's doing, but Woo spoke up and said Sunny had wanted to do it. He felt as if they had stopped her; it would have made things worse.

Woo's sister didn't say much of the state of things. Liv did find out that Yooni lived around Chicago. She had a home in the burbs. She said she was sure it was her fault. "I always felt I left everything on a shelf. I suppose. I'd come back to it and nothing would change."

Liv wasn't sure if she was trying to be pleasant or just matter-of-fact. The woman wouldn't even hold the baby and Liv was OK with that. Woo showed her how he'd repainted the nursery and put new flooring in. His next project was to put new flooring in the hallway, and then hopefully, they could work on the bathroom in their bedroom.

"Are you planning on selling the place?" Yooni asked after the tour of their place.

"Oh, I just want us to have upgrades. You know, make our place more of a home that we can enjoy. Better to get it done." He smiled. Although, Liv knew it was a slow process. Also, he was doing most of it on his own. Yet, Chewy and Chai had helped from time to time. Even Louie and Sunny helped paint the nursery.

Yooni kept even lipped as if Woo would question her about not helping them, but he never did. Liv did wonder if Yooni was keeping something from him. She was so reserved. Although Liv had come to expect it. It was far different from the time her parents were here.
