I gotta get myself together

 

THIS IS CRAZY! Frankie wanted to shout from the mountain tops perhaps, but he was only in his livingroom when he heard the news from Bea.

"Really?" He said instead, possibly a little bug-eyed. He knew she wouldn't make this up. He hugged her then as if something impossible was now possible. Although, he really hoped she was OK with it.

Of course, it all had to do with being on the wrong diabetic drug. If they'd put her on that hormone to stop eating then this probably wouldn't be happening. Bea was pregnant. 

"Are you sure you're OK about this?" She'd always said other people were to have children not her. She was supposed to just take care of those babies when they were born, but now it was like the new year had all sorts of twists and turns. And to top that off she was already past the three-month mark. 

Of course, he wanted to get on to her about this kind of thing, but he couldn't. He wouldn't. Honestly, he thought he might pass out. This was really going to happen.

"It'll be fine," she said, but he knew she was as nervous as could be. She was heading toward the peanuts but he grabbed them instead. 

"You know you can't have peanuts," he looked at her blankly. "You say the fat in them always make your blood sugar high." He put the peanuts away and grabbed a brown rice cake.

"I need my protein." She snapped.

"Right," he knew exactly where the baby gouda cheese was in the fridge. He peeled it and presented it to her with the rice cake. 

She munched on it.

"Better?"

"Maybe." She looked at him as if he were ruining her parade. Frankie was a little frantic.

"Let's get married." He nodded. "We've been putting it off far too long."
