It was a time for babies. Everyone passed around Bea and Frankie's newborn Maya who slept through Thanksgiving. Bea was thankful she didn't have to make the big dinner which was earlier due to naptimes with Cyrus and Pixie's baby.
Roman and Eddie came with the turkey and Eric and Derrick fixed the sides while Pixie brought a trifle which was just a fancy name for jello pudding and Cool Whip stacked in a beautiful bowl with layers of bananas, blueberries, and wafers.
Naturally, they were stuffed.
"If only we had someone's Drew's age," Bea found something to complain about. But Frankie soon pointed out that everyone played Janga with him and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade twice with him. He didn't think he suffered. Besides, it was too cold to play basketball.
"I just don't want him to be.." she wanted to say a lump on a log, but she held her tongue. "I don't want him being overlooked." Yes, it worried her with the new baby. She knew his whole life had been on the back burner, but Frankie always had him in activities and he was even in a ballet competition and he still found a way to keep his grades up.
She hated to admit it, but Frankie probably raised him more than she ever could.
"Oh, I just hope I don't mess up with this one," Bea didn't mean to fret about it. She wished she could stop worrying.
"What are you talking about?" Roman asked as they were cleaning up and Frankie was off giving Maya a bottle and talking to Cyrus and Pixie.
"You know me, I'm so selfish," she finally confessed. Of course, he gave her a laugh.
"Oh, I know who's selfish." He looked over his shoulder at LaLa and her man. "Nothing is gonna change that girl's world."
Bea looked over at Lala too. There she was showing someone what was on her Amazon Wish List for Christmas.
Roman surprised her with a hug. "I think you're doing an amazing job." He told her he was proud of her. It was nice to see her growing family. "Believe me, Auntie you were never selfish." He remembered those days when she had long hours at the hospital just to come home to family and bring all the groceries to have a Thanksgiving Feast for the family. "You've worked every day since you were fifteen. I remember seeing you working the drive-through at MacDonald's. You just need to enjoy every moment of right now. And we both know Maya will find her voice soon. She will definitely keep you on your toes."
pozdrawiam

DeleteThat's all!🍃💙❄️Thanks!
I agree that Bea's certainly not selfish! The fact that she's worried about Drew when she has a newborn baby speaks volumes about the size of her heart. I'm glad that she and Frankie are doing so well and, of course, Pixie and Cyrus too! And Pixie's JELL-O trifle sounds yummy! 🍌🍌🍌
